What is Pin Attire?

Every Monday for Greeks is known as "Pin Attire Mondays". For each organization and for each chapter, pin attire will differ. However, there is a standard that we go by each time we wear our pins. In order to wear your pin, you must be dressed as if you were going to an interview. For Alpha Phi at Southern Utah University our basic rules for pin attire are as follows: jeans and leggings are not permitted, skirts and dresses will be at least 4 fingers from the knee, if not longer, and tops must be 3 fingers wide at the straps & must cover the entire torso. When wearing the gold badge of the Alpha Phi Fraternity, you must be classy, as you should always, and must represent members and the organization in the highest regards. This means cursing, drinking, etc. is not allowed. Wearing your organizations badge is not limited to only wearing them on Mondays. If dressed appropriately, you are able to wear your pins accordingly, this includes but is not limited to, wearing them to weddings, interviews, award ceremonies, etc. Wearing the pin/badge is a way to show pride for your organization and to show the dressed up side of Greek life.

Although these outfits are fashionable, they are not up to pin attire standards:

These outfits are both fashionable and pin attire appropriate:
